In December of 2021, Nissan was named one of the world’s most socially impactful brands by the Laureus Sport for Good Index. The Laureus Sport for Good Index has recognized Nissan for its contribution to driving sustainability in the transport industry. The company was recognized for its positive influence on sports through its participation in Formula E, the only motorsport championship for electric cars. Nissan’s goal to become carbon neutral by 2050 also contributed to their recognition following the strides Nissan has made to meet the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.
