In April of 2020, The Greenbrier Companies (Greenbrier) announced the suspension of production at is manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon. Driven by the negative effects that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has had on the economy, the company took this action due to limited demand for railcars across the world.
